Quite a bummer, huh? What the CityVille Lifeguard Station does do, however, is still fairly impressive, as this one little building will allow you to add up to 900 more citizens to your city. For the price of 35,000 coins (which is actually fairly cheap, if you think about how many items have been release for City Cash lately), you’ll get a 4×4 square building that takes a whopping 13 hits to construct.

Once the frame is built, you’ll need to ask your friends to help you staff this building in a big way. You’ll need to fill 10 positions, either by paying 5 City Cash for each position to be filled (Samantha will take the employee’s space), or by asking your friends to come work in the building by sending them individual “gift” requests.

Again, once the building is done, you’ll have the ability to add up to 900 more citizens to your town, and as expanding now requires so many citizens, you can use all of the allowance that you can get, so get to building! Oh, and feel free to hum the Baywatch theme to yourself as you build it. I won’t tell.

Well, it’s about time. After going live on the Canadian App Store weeks ago, CityVille Hometown is finally here in the US and globally for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The game marks a list of firsts for Zynga in that it’s the company’s first game to release on all iOS platforms simultaneously, not to mention its first mobile game to release in five languages.

The game allows players to import their existing Facebook and CityVille friends into a new, but separate mobile experience in the franchise. (Note: This is not a mobile extension of your CityVille web game, but a brand new one.)

Apparently neither FarmVille nor CityVille have heard of email. That’s the impression we get with a brand new and interesting feature that has dropped on … both games, really. It’s called the CityVille Mailbox, and when you log into FarmVille today you will be greeted with a message promoting this new tool.

Then, you’ll of course be thrown into placement mode, so put the Mailbox any old place and get on with it. When you click on the Mailbox, you will discover its true power: the ability to send gifts to yourself between games. Did Zynga just eliminate the need for multiple accounts?

Well, it sure seems that way–at least for FarmVille and CityVille. Players can send themselves free (and useful) gifts once the feature is put in place in both games. (We imagine the process for placing the Mailbox in CityVille isn’t far different from what we’ve found here.) Here are just a few of items you can send and receive:

CityVille:
Energy
Goods
Building Permits
CityVille Seal
Marble
Ribbon
Zoning Permits
FarmVille:
Brick
Nail
Wooden Board
Mystery Gift
Special Delivery
Bottle
1/5 Fuel Refill
Love Potion

The main draw of this new feature is self-sufficiency. Finally, players can (legitimately) send themselves free gifts that are actually useful. However, we doubt you can send these gifts very often, so as to not beef players up too quickly in either game. Regardless, this feature is one of the best we’ve seen recently, and we hope to see more like it.

Is it just me, or is the CityVille Flower Kiosk one of the most unassuming and even boring businesses available in the game? If you agree with me (or even if you don't), it doesn't have to stay that way any longer, as Flower Kiosk upgrades have now been launched in the game. Like many other Business upgrades, this one will require you to either ask your friends for points to help you upgrade, or will see you stocking and restocking your Flower Kiosk over and over (and over) again until you eventually earn all 50 points necessary to upgrade.

While your Level 2 Flower Kiosk will go from 95 coins / 25 Goods to 280 coins / 65 Goods, the real bonus here is in how the Flower Kiosk's appearance changes. Rather than being something resembling a tent, you'll actually gain a true roof, and windows on the side. Go through the process all over again, reaching Level 3 (the current maximum for the Flower Kiosk), and you'll find yourself with an even larger building. While still small (the Flower Kiosk simply has a small footprint), it looks much more like an actual business, and even has a delivery truck parked at the side. In terms of stats, this highest level Kiosk will offer 650 coins for every 130 Goods you supply it with.

As you'd expect, these business upgrades can be done at your own pace. Feel free to ask your friends to help you upgrade if you're impatient, or go about your business elsewhere and let these upgrades happen on their own - it's up to you. With many of the game's "starter" businesses now being upgradable, it leaves us to wonder what's next. The Coffee Shop perhaps? The Video Game Store or Pool Hall? Whatever the case, we'll make sure to let you know as more businesses and community buildings are given upgrades, so keep checking back.

No, not little snot-nosed kids--the delicious Bavarian treat? CityVille has taken a trip to Germany with its next collection of items. This German set of buildings brings Outdoor Halls and even a Bavarian Castle to the game. However, the good stuff goes for City Cash, and they're only here for the next seven days. Hey, at least that gives you time to save. Check out all five new buildings below:

Outdoor Hall
Costs 35 City Cash
Earns 2,500 Coins for every 500 Goods

Bavarian Castle
Costs 80 City Cash
Provides 800-1500 Population
432 Coins every 18 hours

Orange, Pink and Green Fachwerks
Cost 25,000 Coins each
Provides 150-250 Population
60 Coins every hour

If your town in CityVille still isn't the summer hangout that you'd like it to be, you can add to the summer fun in the sun by purchasing one of four new items from the game's store. There are two businesses here, along with a home and a decoration, and luckily, some of these items actually do cost coins, rather than City Cash.

There are two Cash items, though, with those being the Kite Flyer - a small decoration that offers a 2% bonus to surrounding businesses and homes - and a Swimwear Shop. This business costs 30 City Cash, and earns 530 coins for every 100 Goods you supply it with. Meanwhile, the Taffy Shop costs coins, 14,000 coins to be exact. For this business, you'll need to supply it with 90 Goods to receive a return of 470 coins once all of those Goods have been sold.

Finally, the new home is the Coastal House, which breaks the bank at 400,000 coins. The home starts with 210 residents, and can be expanded to 420 over time. It pays out 600 coins in rent every 2.1 days.

Luckily, there isn't a time limited associated with any of these items, so you can take your time saving up the 400,000 coins necessary for the Coastal Home, as an example. Should Zynga release any more summer themed goodies we'll make sure to let you know.

This weekend has turned into something pretty special for those looking to level up in CityVille as Zynga has announced that a Double XP event will take place, allowing users to earn double the amount of experience points per neighbor visit in the game. Sure, an extra XP point or two here or there doesn't really seem like a lot, but what if you visited every friend on your friends list? That's a pretty substantial bonus, saving you an entire day of neighbor visits (since you're earning double the points), in addition to saving you time.

While there's no exact time table for when this event will be turned on and off, we can only assume that it will end sometime around 9PM PST on Sunday evening, as most other events tend to do. Could this event be caused by a lack of neighbor visits in the game as a way to boost social play? It's an interesting thought, but whatever the reason, we definitely won't complain about a chance to earn more XP for the same amount of work. Thanks Zynga!

What do you think of this Double XP event? Will you visit more neighbors than you normally would just to rack up the bonus XP, or do you think the bonuses simply aren't worth the time it takes to earn them? Sound off in the comments.

Funnel cake ... mmm--Oh, sorry. That's the first thing I think of when I hear the word "carnival." Luckily for you--but not my funnel cake problem--Zynga will soon launch the Summer Carnival in CityVille. But first, it's up to you to build the Ticket Booth to support this (hopefully) massive event. The Ticket Booth isn't too different from Community Building upgrades or functional buildings like the Police Station in that you'll need to help of friends to complete it. However, Zynga is keeping its use a secret for whatever reason.

Before we dive in, there is one thing you should know: You must be Level 15 or higher to access the Ticket Booth. To start the Ticket Booth, you will receive a new Goal titled simply "Ticket Booth!" This will allow you to place the Level 1 Ticket Booth in your City right from the Goal menu.

Building the foundation of the structure will, of course, cost Energy. Then, you must collect three Carnival Tickets from it, which is done like any other business or residence in the game. Players can collect from the Ticket Booth every 18 hours, which at Level 1 provides 250 Coins and one Carnival Ticket.

Ticket Booth Level 1:

•Pretzel x3
•Popcorn x3
•Cotton Candy x3
•Calloon Animal x3
•Snowcone x3

All of these materials must either be requested from friends or purchased using City Cash. Once you begin collecting from the Level 1 Ticket Booth, you can instantly begin upgrading it to Level 2 just by clicking on it when it's not due for collection.

Ticket Booth Level 2:

•Pretzel x7
•Popcorn x7
•Cotton Candy x7
•Calloon Animal x7
•Snowcone x7

The Level 2 Ticket Booth will provide players with 250 Coins and two Carnival Tickets every 18 hours. Again, click on the upgraded Ticket Booth to boost it a second time to Level 3.

Ticket Booth Level 3:

•Pretzel x10
•Popcorn x10
•Cotton Candy x10
•Calloon Animal x10
•Snowcone x10

This Level 3 Ticket Booth still offers the same amount of Coins, but provides three Carnival Tickets every 18 hours. At the moment, you're only to hold 300 Carnival Tickets, which are displayed every time you mouse over the Ticket Booth. Unfortunately, we still don't know their purpose, but at least you'll be more than ready for when we find out. (I hope there's funnel cake.)

Soon enough, Boats in CityVille won't just be for shipping, but racing too. A new set of Goals has been revealed, titled simply for now as "Boat Race." There are six Goals in all, and the rewards are quite appealing--not to mention terribly fitting for a Boat Race between ornery sailors.

1. Rusty's Challenge

* Visit 10 Neighbors
* Send and Receive 5 Cargo Ships
* Get 2 Popularity Votes

This first Goal is simple enough. Essentially, just do what you do best: Visit friends and make liberal use of the game's Goods shipment system. Then you must ask your friends for two Popularity Votes through the Goal menu. For completing this easy task, you'll receive Spinach as a brand new crop to plant.

2. Cruise Control

* Collect from any City Dojo 8 times
* Harvest 40 Spinach
* Ask friends for 3 Racing Flags

If you don't already have a City Dojo, the building costs 4,250 Coins and runs through 110 Goods at a time. Unfortunately, these Goals haven't been released yet, so there are no details on Spinach. However, you will have to ask your friends for three Racing Flags, something we're all familiar with at this point. You'll receive a Junk Boat as a reward for finishing this Goal.

3. See Food Training

* Send and Receive 10 Trains
* Have 2 Crabs
* Have 1 Lobster

Sending and Receiving 10 Trains is kid stuff at this point in CityVille. Both the Crabs and Lobster come from the Surf and Turf Collection, which can be completed by collecting from both the Tower Eats and the Seafood Restaurant. Of course, you're better off having both. If you own neither, the Tower Eats costs 1 million Coins and runs through 165 Goods, while the Seafood Restaurant costs 7,500 Coins, requires 15 neighbors to buy and consumes 140 Goods. For this Goal, you will be rewarded with the Boat Shop, likely a new business.

CityVille Shipping
4. Ready? Set? Race!

* Send and Receive 20 San Francisco Supply Boats
* Send and Receive 4 Cruise Ships
* Have 2 Sports Drinks

You'll have to make liberal use of your Goods shipment Boats in this Goal. While you send out a whopping 24 Boats, you need to collect two Sports Drinks, part of the Fitness Collection. This can be accomplished by collecting from either the Bike Shop and the Extreme Sports Store. The former costs 2,500 Coins, requires nine neighbors and eats through 75 Goods, while the latter costs 33 City Cash, so you can already your best option. No information on this Goal's rewards is available at the moment.

CityVille Cruise5. New Friends In China

* Harvest 30 Eggplant
* Collect from 4 Noodle Shops
* Ask friends for 5 Chinese Kites

Harvesting 30 Eggplant will cost a tiny 840 Coins and take at least one hour to complete. Then, you must collect from the Noodle Shop four times, a business that costs 4,000 Coins and runs through 90 Goods. Then, just ask your friends for five Chinese Kites from the Goal menu, and you're on your way to a brand new Export Port as reward.

6. Click It And Ticket

* Place Ticket Booth
* Collect 3 Carnival Tickets

The Ticket Booth unlocks as a reward for completing the Zoo, so place that wherever if you hadn't already. Then, you must collect three Carnival Tickets, which we imagine are again sourced from friends through the Goal menu. Unfortunately, reward information isn't available for this Goal either.

A new limited edition crop has been added to CityVille that looks to help the game continue in its recent summer theme. However, don't get too excited about this one, as it will cost you City Cash for each individual square you plant. The crop is the Pineapple, and it is available from the regular Crops section of the game's store.

You can plant a single square of Pineapples for 3 City Cash, and while the growth time is instant, you'll only receive 95 Goods per square planted. Sure, that's a great turnaround on an instantly growing crop, but if you instead decide to save your City Cash and grow regular crops, you can each just as many Goods, if not more, by waiting a day and planting Corn, for instance.

Still, if you have plenty of City Cash to throw around, and simply don't want to wait for your crops to grow, this is definitely an option - but only a limited one, as these Pineapples won't be around forever.

It's time to set out on another adventure and travel to the far away lands of CityVille. Zynga's new city-building game puts you at the head of a small country town. After becoming mayor, you'll construct businesses, spread franchises, build homes, and even do a little farming. CityVille is full of great features, but this can often be a little overwhelming. Fortunately, our CityVille Cheats & Tips: Getting Started guide aims to help your city quickly develop into a budding metropolis.

Continue reading to check out our brief CityVille Cheats & Tips: Getting Started Guide to help you get started building your own city.

Getting Started
cityville cheats getting started guide
CityVille uses the standard XP, Coins, Cash, and Energy formula found in most Facebook games. You use up Energy doing tasks around your city, and you gain XP and Coins from completing these tasks. Get enough XP and you'll level up. Leveling up opens up new businesses, houses, decorations, and more for you to build in your city. Finally, Cash can be bought and is used to buy premium items, services, and to opt out of sending requests to your friends.

However, CityVille does mix things up by including Goods. Before you can collect Coin payments from your businesses, you must use Goods to stock up your store, so it's important to have a strong supply. Goods can be obtained through shipments and by harvesting crops (more on that later).

The Toy Store has now joined the growing list of businesses that can be upgraded in CityVille, so if you haven't deleted all of your Toy Stores due to lack of space and their poor profits, you can now make them more profitable by upgrading them (even if they're your friends' franchises).

The Toy Store can be upgraded from its starting place at Level 1, all the way to Level 3, with each level giving it a better payout, but also requiring more Goods in return. For instance, the Level 2 Toy Store earns 400 coins for every 100 Goods supplied, up from the 180 coins that the original Toy Store earned. To upgrade your Toy Store, you'll need to earn points, which are earned by simply collecting from and supplying your Toy Store(s) repeatedly.

You can either wait until you earn 50 points for the first upgrade by yourself, or you can ask your friends to help you, with each friend offering you two points towards this first upgrade. After you've hit that, you'll need to go through the process all over again to reach Level 3, where your payout increases again to 670 coins, and the Goods demanded increases to 160.

If you happen to have more than one Toy Store, know that you have to upgrade each one individually. Also, the building will change in size and appearance as its upgraded, so don't ask your friends to help you if you'd rather delay losing the quaint look of your Toy Store as it is now. At this rate, we'll be seeing many more businesses allowing for upgrades in the future, so keep checking back with us as we give you details over each upgrade as they're launched.

Four new summer-themed items have been launched in the CityVille market, so I suppose our Spring Fling is now good and gone. For those that are tired of seeing items only available for City Cash (there are apparently quite a few of us), at least there are two items here for coins, while the others cost City Cash.

The Sunbather and Mango Tree are two new decorative items that add a 1% and 2% bonus to the payout of surrounding items, respectively. You can purchase a Sunbather for 1,500 coins and a Mango Tree for 3,000 coins. Meanwhile, the Beach Volleyball decoration costs 30 City Cash, and adds a 23% bonus payout to items, while the Cliff House is a new limited time home that costs 60 City Cash and pays out 126 coins per hour. The Home starts with a population of 300 citizens, but can be raised to 600 over time.

Ok, I have to say it. It's great to see some coin items finally released after weeks of seemingly nothing but City Cash items, but these are a bit disappointing to say the least. I know I'd be willing to pay thousands of coins for each of these City Cash items, and I doubt I'm alone. Hopefully, we'll be given the chance to purchase some equally nice goodies for coins sometime in the future, and we'll make sure to let you know if that's the case.

Will you shell out City Cash for either the Beach Volleyball court or the Cliff House, or are you standing firm that Zynga should release more coin items before it's too late? Let us know in the comments.

A new Mystery Crate has been added to the CityVille market this week, but don't get too excited just yet. There are only three items potentially available inside, and the Crate isn't cheap. Each Mystery Crate costs a whopping 40 City Cash, and for that price, you'll have a chance at either a single Residence, Business or Decoration.

The new Home is the Movie Star House, which offers 350-750 population, and pays out 800 coins in rent every 4.2 days. For the new Business, your citizens can chow down at the Greasy Spoon, a diner that pays out 1001 coins for every 180 Goods you supply. Finally, the new Decoration is the Roller Rink, which adds a 20% to the payout of surrounding buildings.

If you'd rather not take a chance on receiving an item that you don't want, you can also purchase each of these three items individually, but the prices are even worse. The Movie Star House sells for 55 City Cash, while the Roller Rink costs 50. The Greasy Spoon is the cheapest, at 45 City Cash, but that's still more expensive than the Crate itself. I suppose the high price is due to the fact that you're guaranteed to get the item you want, but these prices are wallet busters, make no mistake.

Will you shell out dozens of City Cash for a chance at one of these items, or will you purchase the specific item you want for even more? Let us know in the comments.

Yet another Community Building is now ready to be upgraded in CityVille, with Zynga launching a Museum upgrade in the game. This Museum upgrade can be started by first collecting your profits from any Museum you have, and then clicking on the building when you see the large blue and green arrow floating above it.

Here, you'll see the list of building ingredients that you'll need to collect in order to upgrade. Yes, unfortunately this isn't a simple task where you can just ask friends to join as staff and be done, as you'll actually need to collect a series of 15 items, some of which you may already own. You'll need three each of Marble, Display Cases, Display Lights, Ribbons, and Velvet Ropes.
Once you've collected all of these materials, your Museum will change in size and design visually, and will also then allow for up to 400 citizens to live in your town, rather than just 300. Your Museum will then also give off a random chance for you to earn Marble each time you collect from the building.

But don't think your work is done just yet, as you can also upgrade your Museum to Level 3. For this, you'll first need to be at least level 20 and have 2,500 or more citizens in your town. You'll need to once again collect another set of those five building ingredients to upgrade, and once that's done you'll finally be able to put down the hammer and chisel. Your Museum will then support 600 citizens, and your chance at receiving Marble will increase.

While this does seem like a backwards update, requiring you to spend Marble and other objects to upgrade a building just so you can earn that Marble back, I suppose it does give you something to do if you're caught up on all other quests, or if you just like the look of the upgraded Museum. Either way, don't feel a rush to complete these upgrades if you have other items you'd rather use your daily requests for instead.

A new limited-time-only quest has been launched in CityVille, with that quest being called Spring Fling! This one sees Ruth returning with her friendly flock of pigeons to have a celebration of flowers. Until June 21, you'll be able to complete this quest for a lovely Cherry Hill decoration (yes, the quest window says Wildflower Hill, but the item is actually called Cherry Hill as of this writing), but don't think that reward comes easily.

You'll need to complete the following three steps:

Ask Friends for 6 Spring Flowers
Ask Friends for 8 Flower Bulbs
Revive 40 of your Neighbors' Crops

While asking for items is a fairly self-explanatory task (both of these requests go straight to your wall, and you can ask for both things at once), the crop issue could turn into a fairly big deal, if you only keep active neighbors on your roster. That is, the best way to finish this quest would be to head to the cities of neighbors who no longer play the game, and revive any crops they might have left behind. But what if all of your neighbors have living crops? I suppose you'd just have to ask them all to pitch in, planting a set of five crops and then purposefully letting them wither. Either that or shell out the 45 City Cash to skip this step outright.

Whatever your plan, remember that you only have the next two days to complete this quest, and receive the Cherry Hill prize, before it expires, taking this exclusive decoration along with it.

Not unless you just fell into a windfall or made big cash on an NBA Finals bet. Luckily, Zynga has released two new items to CityVille that can make that dream of getting old pop a new whip for Father's Day a reality ... sort of. The Sports Car Dealership is a brand new business in the game, but there's a brand new decoration as well. Unfortunately, both cost a nice chunk of City Cash, but check out the stats if you need some pushing over the edge:

Sports Car Dealership (unlocks at level 58):

•Cost: 32 City Cash
•Supply: 150 Goods
•Payout: 800 Coins

Playing Catch (7 days only):

•Cost: 20 City Cash
•6% Bonus Payout

While the lot of us has been hankering for some CityVille on the go, it would be almost a chore to manage a mobile metropolis. And with Zynga's newest mobile game, CityVille Hometown, it's clear that developer Zynga Mobile has achieved telepathy. The company's brand new, bite-sized version of its runaway city-building hit will be available worldwide as early as this week. And here's the clincher: it's the first Zynga Mobile game to launch in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. But that's far from what might make CityVille Hometown your go-to game on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The game tightens its focus on a small town, and it's laundry list of characters (most of which you'll have a hand in creating). Players will first be greeted by Bert and his grandmother, Gilda, who will show them the ropes of creating and managing a bustling small town. This includes building new businesses, sprucing up the place and, most importantly, getting to know its citizens. As you continue providing your inhabitants with more places to live, work, shop and hang out, you will learn more about their stories

Unreleased Toy Store Upgrade
Here’s a sneak peak at the Toy Store upgrade. Keep in mind that it is unreleased and that Zynga can make changes at any time!

Starting today, you can upgrade your Museum in CityVille and fortunately you won’t have to go through the same boring steps of hiring neighbors as in the case of the previous upgrades in the game. However, you’ll still have to do your part of begging, so let’s waste no time and check out the CityVille Museum Upgrade guide!

In order to be allowed to start the upgrade of your CityVille Museum, you will have to be at least level 18 with 950 population and, of course, own a Museum. Once you have met the requirements, you will see the familiar upgrade arrow above your Museum:

Clicking the arrow will get you to the upgrade menu which in this case is done by collecting building materials from your friends: you need 3 of each Display Light, Velvet Rope, Ribbon, Display Case and Marble:

At level 2, the Museum supports 400 population, gives you a chance to get more energy, as well as a chance to receive Marble when collecting.

However, you can go through similar methods when you reach level 20 and a population of at least 2,500 and upgrade your Museum to level 3 for better rewards (more energy and Marble!)

Let's face it: there are tons of CityVille players who play the game as collectors, trying to have one of every building, business or home in their towns. That's a great way to play the game, if it works for you, but it's also an expensive one. Take, for instance, the newest home added to the game this weekend: The Founder's Residence, a large gold building available by scrolling almost to the very end of the build menu.

Surrounded by homes that cost over 500,000 coins sits the Founder's Residence, which blows those other buildings out of the water. Ready for it? To add one of these high population homes to your city, you'll need to fork over 70 City Cash. For that price, you'll receive a home that starts with 300 population, but can be expanded to 650 over time. You can collect 159 coins in rent every four hours. Sure, this one looks to be a relatively nice money-maker in the long run, but you'll likely have to do a bit of soul-searching to decide whether or not its worth almost $10.

Unfortunately, you have to make that decision rather quickly, as the Founder's Residence will only be available in the game's store for a limited time - a week, to be exact. If you do pull the proverbial trigger and add this one to your town, you'll definitely have something to brag about, but I wouldn't take this expensive decision lightly.

Hey, just be happy this isn't as serious as how Hitchcock envisioned it. Pigeons have invaded CityVille, and it's up to you and your City Hall employees to put a stop to it the old-fashioned way, rampant friend requests. However, this is a timed event, so you'll only have 24 hours to get rid of those pigeons for some sweet rewards like 10 thousand Coins, 40 XP or three Zoning Permits. Luckily for you, we're experts at winged-rat removal. So, join us behind the break to find out how to put an end to these pests.

Before we get into how to get rid of these pigeons, let's iron out a few details. First, you must be Level 15 and have at least one City Hall to be eligible. These Goals can only be completed once, and if you have multiple City Halls the most recently built one or the one with the most crew will become infested. And finally, if you've had Samantha run a few City Hall positions up until this point, you'll have the option to fill those positions with real friends (which we highly recommend). Now, to out-pester those pests with some friend power.

When you collect from your City Hall, there will be a chance to see an icon with a pigeon on it hovering over your building. This, of course, means your City Hall has been invaded by pigeons. Click on the building, and a menu will appear titled "Major Pigeon Invasion." Do not click "Start Mission" until you're absolutely ready, as you only have 24 hours to complete this. (A Level 3 City Hall gets 48 hours.)

CityVille Pigeon Icon
When you see the below window, it's time to ask your friends for some help. Just click the "Post Help Request" button, which will post a News Feed to that friends' wall, but also will place a pigeon icon next to your face on their Neighbor Bar. This is especially helpful if your friends have email alerts or News Feed posts turned off. Your rewards by the time the 24 or 48 hours is up will increase depending on how many friends help you out, and the number required increases with your City Hall level.
Major Pigeon Invasion
Rewards:

Prize Level 1: 10,000 Coins
Prize Level 2: 40 Experience
Prize Level 3: 3 Zoning Permits

Keep in mind that rewards stack, meaning if you make it Level 2 or 3, you will receive the rewards for the previous levels as well. Then, the waiting game begins, but you can track which rewards you've already won in the Goal window before the timer runs out.
CityVille Pigeon News Feed

Responding to a help request is a simple as combing your News Feed for posts from your friends (and clicking the words "Help Out") or clicking on friends' icons on the Neighbor Bar that are adorned with that pigeon icon. Then, you'll be taken to your friend's city where you'll have to click on their City Hall. Next, find your name and simply click "Help Friend." When the Goal is finally through, you can share extra rewards with every staff member that helped out.

The saga of the CityVille bridge and land expansion has been given one more bit of clarity, as Edgar's death-defying helicopter ride is over, only to be replaced by a tiny construction crew sitting on the land opposite of the river. While we haven't been able to access this land up until now, due to a lack of a bridge, it looks like that will all be changing sooner, rather than later, as one of the construction crew is holding up a sign of a bridge!

If you click on this trio of workers, you'll see an informative pop-up that tells us in order to expand, you'll need to have at least 5,000 citizens living in your town - time to start building more Community Buildings and Residences! We've also been given the hint that we'll need to gather building materials for our "biggest project yet," presumably because we'll be responsible for building the bridge ourselves - steal rods and cables anyone?

CityVille Malls are here

Here we are, once again, with another CityVille update from Zynga. This time, however, I'm happy to say that these new CityVille Malls are absolutely awesome. (At least they look that way.) However, building them is quite a task. Luckily for you, we have all the details on how to put these monuments of digital capitalistic culture together. Your virtual wallets will thank us later.

CityVille Mall complete

The Malls in CityVille are, essentially, buildings to store your other businesses. These upgradeable buildings do not benefit from decorations, as each upgraded floor provides similar bonuses. The benefits? Well, Zynga has listed them rather nicely:

Mall Benefits

  • Collect and supply in one click!

  • Higher payouts

  • Space saving

  • Unlock exclusive businesses

  • Upgradeable appearance

Mall level oneSo, there you have it. What are the cons, you ask? Well, I guess having more room for other things would give us less reason to complain, so that's kind of a bummer for some folks. Jokes aside, the Mall is bound to run out of room considering it only has three levels at this point totaling room for 12 businesses, so making those choices could be a drag. But we're reaching here, folks. On to building!

After placing your Mall, as its bound to be introduced through a new Goal, it's time to give it a few whacks. After the foundation is completed, you will be given two slots for your businesses. To add more, you must hire more staff members (AKA your friends) to increase your Mall's levels. Adding businesses to your Mall is as easy as a few clicks and a confirmation window. After filling your Mall with businesses, After filling a floor, collecting from the Mall will have a chance at providing an exclusive Mystery Business.

But remember, the cost of Energy and Goods to collect from and supply your businesses depends on the amount of businesses are contained in your Mall. The name of this game is streamlining, not simplicity. Removing businesses is as simple as pressing the red "X" next to it and placing on your playing field again. Luckily, unlocked floors remain intact when removing businesses. But enough with the guide, here's what's in it for you when you decide to create and upgrade your Mall:

Inside your CityVille Mall

Level 1 Mall

  • Businesses earn 5% more!

  • 4 business slots

  • Chance for a mystery business when floor is completely filled

Level 2 Mall

  • Businesses earn 10% more!

  • 4 more business slots

  • Chance for a mystery business when floor is completely filled

  • Upgraded design

Level 3 Mall

  • Businesses earn 15% more!

  • 4 more business slots

  • Chance for a mystery business when floor is completely filled

  • Upgraded design

A new Community Building is now available to add to your town in CityVille. The Water Bottling Plant is a fairly large structure, both in terms of its food print and its height, and it can be purchased from the store for 125,000 coins.

Of course, it isn't as simple as just placing the building and moving on, as you'll need to construct it with the help of friends. The building's base takes a whopping 13 whacks to complete (remember, that will take up 13 energy, which is no small amount), and after that, you'll have to hire almost as many friends to work as staff in the building - 12 friends, to be exact.

Once you've gathered enough staff members, you'll receive a boost of 1,750 citizens to your total population cap. That's a huge boost, to be sure, but you'll definitely have to earn it.

The release of the Mall in CityVille did not come all alone, but with a bunch of new goals for us to complete and I am happy to give you all the details that you need to know about these goals, so that you can be prepared for what it’s to come. But let’s not waste any more time and let’s check out everything about the Mall Goals in CityVille!

CityVille Mall Goal I: New Mall!
- Place Mall
- Move 2 Businesses from your city into the Mall

This is basically the goal that teaches you how to deal with the new mall and you should complete it in a few seconds. The reward for completing the New Mall goal is a Mall Sign.

CityVille Mall Goal II: Mall Improvement!
- Place Mall Sign
- Place another business into your Mall

In order to place another business, you will need help from your friends, but you should have no problem completing this mission either. After doing so, you will be rewarded with a CityVille ATM machine.

CityVille Mall Goal III: Mall Trip!
- Visit a friend’s Mall 5 times

Obviously, you don’t have to visit the same Mall 5 times, so if you have 5 active friends, you should complete this goal pretty fast!

CityVille Mall Goal IV: Mall Parking Issue!
- Place Parking Garage from Inventory
- Have one ATM in your City
- Build and Supply 1 new Business

Basically, if you have completed the previous missions, you will have everything required to complete this goal as well! After doing so, you will be rewarded with a Rent-A-Cop

CityVille Mall Goal V: Mall Security
- Place Rent-A-Cop
- Ask Friends for 5 Walkie Talkies (ask your friends)

Again a very simple goal, like all the goals in CityVille released recently.

What do you think about the Mall series of goals in CityVille? Would’ve you wanted some extra challenge, maybe?
